The story
The law of 20 October 1923 established the Danzig gulden as monetary unit, divided into 100 pfennige and valued at one twenty-fifth pound sterling. [1]
In September 1939 Danzig currency conversion was fixed at 1 gulden=0.70 Reichsmark. Gulden legal tender ended 30 September; exchange of payment media was required by 15 October, with a subsidiary-currency exception. [2]
Danzig gulden was absorbed into the existing German-mark system in September 1939 at 1 gulden = 0.70 Reichsmark. [3]
