The story

Currency law defined the regional yuan and decimal subdivisions; the central bank began replacing previously circulating local notes, while separate Chinese exchange and silver-yen markets remained. [1]

In the Durbed/Taikang locality, Northeast currency replaced Manchukuo yuan through progressive par conversion in 1946. This local replacement does not identify all postwar Manchurian conversions. [2]
