The story
A Damascus attestation dated 26 October 1583 denominates a one-year debt in 412½ sultanis. [1]
Khudāwardī Bey’s Jerusalem endowment valued capital held as 8, 000 Shami paras at 200 sultanis, with expected annual proceeds of 30 sultanis. [2]
Fāṭima’s Jerusalem account aggregates silver-para assets and maintenance expenses in gold sultanis; the remaining capital is lent for another year. [3]
