The story
The issuer museum dates modified Indian notes for Pakistan to 1 April 1948 and a government emergency note series to 1 October 1948. [1]
Bangladesh’s taka succeeded the Pakistani rupee at equal unit value. Year precision distinguishes the accounting transition from first national banknote issue. [2]
Turning points
Territorial currency separation
Pakistan initially used Indian notes and then modified and national rupee issues. A phased territorial separation; no change in rupee face-unit inferred from the redesign. [3]
