The story
The 1933 ordinance established Fiji local monetary obligations on a separate sterling-exchange basis; local pound and sterling were distinguished legally. [1]
Turning points
Territorial unit derivation
Fiji’s local pound issues developed from an English-coin currency system. The board began in 1914 and local coins followed in 1934; this is unit descent, not a fixed exchange-rate claim. [2]
