Royal / Vientiane kip
FTM000141 · Research draft
A documented account-unit or currency-system transition supports this predecessor identity; not admitted from a specimen or inherited label alone.
One scoped currency identity. Changes to subdivisions, scale, standard, instruments or issuers do not by themselves create children. A distinct account unit can remain a successor.
Dated observations: 1955–1976; this does not establish the entire lifetime.

In June 1976 the Vientiane kip was withdrawn in favour of the separately circulating Liberation kip, at 20:1; the Liberation kip belongs to the modern Lao kip continuity despite its 1979 rescaling. No precise 1976 day asserted.
