Cambodian riel before abolition
FTM000144 · Research draft
A documented account-unit or currency-system transition supports this predecessor identity; not admitted from a specimen or inherited label alone.
One scoped currency identity. Changes to subdivisions, scale, standard, instruments or issuers do not by themselves create children. A distinct account unit can remain a successor.
Dated observations: 1955–1980; this does not establish the entire lifetime.

Dated observations, not a proven complete lifespan.
Supported C1174
The Cambodian riel replaced the shared Indochinese piastre in 1955, ending the common monetary arrangement. Applies to pre-abolition riel; not a direct uninterrupted edge to 1980 currency.

Qualified C1175
The riel was reintroduced 20 March 1980 after its 1975 abolition, including use for civil-servant salaries. This is a restoration of the named account-unit tradition, not established redemption of old balances or uninterrupted monetary use. The restoration is retained as an optional relationship.
Corrected interpretation: Revision 27 supplies a new evidence basis for R-V23-015. Account-unit source adjudication. Replacement evidence: C1614.
