The story
The July 1947 law replaced the Albanian frang with the lek as the monetary unit. [1]
Municipal-note legislation imposes fines denominated in gold francs. [2]
Turning points
Account-unit observation
Calmés describes goldfranc as existing de facto currency and recommends codification. The 16February 1922 paper-lek law was not implemented, so it does not create an additional circulating/accounting identity here. [3]
