The story
Post-independence Samoa’s local bank issue succeeded the Bank of New Zealand pound-note system. Transition bounded by independence and decimalisation; issuer terminology is imprecise about British versus New Zealand pounds. [1]
Turning points
Territorial unit derivation
New Zealand local pound coinage and national notes succeeded the British-coin and trading-bank system. Staged monetary separation; no blanket 1:1 sterling conversion asserted. [2]
