The story
Bundesbank’s table dates the Zambian pound to 16 November 1964 at parity with a unit it labels Rhodesian pound; precise federal predecessor mapping remains unresolved. [1]
The same table dates the kwacha to 16 January 1968, at two original-scale kwacha per Zambian pound. [2]
That detailed indexed account says pound withdrawal was completed on 31 January 1974; this remains an unconfirmed issuer-history report pending original notice. [3]
