The story
The BCAO traces both western and central CFA terminology to the framework created on 26 December 1945; this does not settle the later separate issuing zones' formation. [1]
Central CFA devaluation takes effect. Decision signed 11 January; publication on 24 March is not the effective date. [2]
Central CFA euro anchor. Equal parity does not merge XAF with XOF. [3]
Turning points
Territorial adoption
Equatorial Guinea adopts CFA currency. Contemporary notice specifies 2 January; preferred over the 1 January date in later Bundesbank metadata. [4]
