The story
Equatorial Guinea adopts CFA currency. Contemporary notice specifies 2 January; preferred over the 1 January date in later Bundesbank metadata. [1]
The national Equatorial Guinean peseta replaced the Spanish monetary-area currency; the subsequent mission report records local bank deposits, credit and public accounts in pesetas. [2]
